Facilities Technician

Job Description:

  • Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs; making notes and recommendations

  • This person will be responsible for performing routing building maintenance tasks. Performance of maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc).

  • Perform minor electrical maintenance to include by not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools

  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance

  • Perform minor painting

  • Reconfigure, install, position and remount modular offices and space to accomodate user needs and maximize office space

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of working experience in facility

  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and be on-call as needed

  • Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing

  • Experience working in a safety conscious environment
