Systems Administrator

Job Description:

  • Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet and Intranet systems

  • Maintain system efficiency

  • Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together

  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users

  • Make recommendations for future upgrades

  • Maintain network and system security

  • Analyze and isolate issues

  • Maintain integrity of network, server deployment, and security

  • Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services

  • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, software deployment, security updates and patches

  • Develop and maintain documentation of processes and procedures

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience supporting and implementing Cisco switches and IOS

  • Working knowledge of DNS, WINS, and DHCP and appropriate troubleshooting and administration skills

  • Specify and maintain security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems in accordance with company and industry standards

  • Experience supporting modern iSCSI SAN storage architectures and data replication technologies

  • Working knowledge of virtualization technologies, especially VMware product suite

  • Experience using scripting or system automation tools to streamline maintenance tasks and maintain configuration standards

  • Expert knowledge of the Windows Server platform and operating system including installation, performance tuning, system security, and capacity planning

  • Experience managing Skype for Business in a multi-site environment

  • Experience with Office 365 suite

  • Experience with SQL database with triggers and stored procedures

  • Tier III and supplemental desktop support experience

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in IT or a related field and related experience
